Tom E. Cleaver Jr. Joins Gardiner & Appel

The recently named Tom E. Cleaver Jr. as principal of the Severna Park-based firm. Cleaver has more than 32 years experience in public accounting, according to a news release.

Prior to joining Gardiner & Appel, Cleaver was the president and CEO of Cleaver Associates Accounting Firm in Annapolis.

He will focus on business and personal tax preparation and planning, IRS and State representation and resolution, tax promise offers and nonfiler return preparation, according to the news announcement.

Cleaver has been a certified tax professional since 1980.

Cleaver is active in various charitable organizations, including the Severna Park Chamber of Commerce. He lives in Severna Park and is an avid power boater.
