SILVER SPRING, MD — A construction worker from Silver Spring claimed a $100,000 prize from the Maryland Lottery on a winning In the Money instant ticket he bought at an Adelphi restaurant recently.

The 43-year-old purchased the $10 blue and green scratch-off ticket from the usual place he plays the lottery, the King Kong Restaurant located at 2350 University Blvd.

Discovering that the instant ticket was a winner, the man told lottery officials that he rushed home to tell his family and friends of his $100,000 windfall. He has not made any plans yet on how he will spend his winnings, according to the Maryland Lottery.
