$100K Top Prize Uncovered By Daily Lottery Player From Silver Spring
A Silver Spring man who has been a regular scratch-off player for more than 10 years recently won $100,000 on a Maryland Lottery ticket.

SILVER SPRING, VA — A Maryland Lottery fan with a daily scratch-off ticket habit saw his persistence pay off. The lucky player from Silver player recently won the top-prize on a $100,000 Extreme Cash scratch-off.
The 55-year-old construction worker has bought an instant ticket every day for the last 10 years, with his largest previous prize being $500.
The lucky player was at home when started to scratch off the lucky $30 instant ticked he'd bought at the Hillandale Beer & Wine in Silver Spring.

He was surprised to see "50" among the ticket's "Winning Numbers." He was even more surprised when he saw a “50” in the “Your Numbers” column with a corresponding $100,000 prize.
“I cried a lot when I saw I had a match,” the man told lottery officials. “It was amazing.”

The married father of two plans to put most of his prize money in the bank, although he might use some of it to pay for a trip to visit relatives in his native country of El Salvador.
The Hillandale Beer & Wine located at 10117 New Hampshire Ave. in Silver Spring will receive a $1,000 bonus from the Maryland Lottery for selling the winning ticket.
