15-Year-Old Hospitalized After Stabbing Near Wheaton Mall

A teenage boy was taken to the hospital late Sunday after suffering a cut to the head during a stabbing near the Wheaton mall.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — A 15-year-old boy was hospitalized Sunday after a stabbing near the carnival at Wheaton mall.

The Montgomery County Police Department said officers were called to the scene at 11000 Veirs Mill Road just after 8:45 p.m. for a report of a stabbing.

Authorities said they found a teenager who suffered a cut to the head at the scene, noting the injury was non-life-threatening. The teen was later treated at a hospital.

Police said the event was an isolated incident.

The suspect in the case has not been arrested. The department told DC News Now that the suspect was also a teenager.
