2 Charged In 2 Separate Fatal Collisions In Montgomery County: Police
Montgomery County grand juries indict two people in two separate fatal collisions, one in Silver Spring and the other in Gaithersburg.
GAITHERSBURG, MD — Two drivers were recently indicted by Montgomery County grand juries in connection with two separate fatal collisions, one in Silver Spring and the other in Gaithersburg, according to a police release.
In the first case, 75-year-old Robert Worrell of Brookeville, Maryland faces charges of felony hit and run in connection with the death of 64-year-old Robert Lawrence of Silver Spring on Aug. 11, 2020, according to police.
Following an investigation, police identified Worrell as the driver of the Ford F-250 that struck Lawrence in the 4100 block of Bel Pre Road in Silver Spring. Lawrence was taken to the hospital but died three days later from his injuries.

Montgomery County Collision Reconstruction Unit detectives obtained evidence showing that Worrell had failed to stop, remain on the scene and report the pedestrian collision to law enforcement, according to police.
On Monday, a grand jury indicted 34-year-old Jeniffer Vallecillo of Gaithersburg in a fatal two-vehicle collision that occurred on Nov. 29, 2021 at the intersection of Midcounty Highway and Saybrooke Oaks Boulevard, according to the release.

Vallecillo faces vehicular manslaughter and homicide while under the influence of alcohol charges in the death of 49-year-old Anupom Ghosh of Gaithersburg, according to police.
An investigation by Montgomery County detectives determined that Vallecillo was driving her 2021 Toyota Camry when it struck Ghosh's 2018 Honda CRV on Nov. 29. Ghosh was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment but later died.
During their investigation, police found that Vallecillo was driving at a high rate of speed and was under the influence of alcohol, when she ran a red light and crashed her car into Ghosh’s Honda, according to the release.
