2 Men Targeting Food Trucks Wanted In Series Of Commercial Robberies
Montgomery County Police released a video of two men wanted for a string of food truck robberies in Silver Spring and Takoma Park.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery County Police are asking the public's help in identifying suspects in a series of recent commercial robberies involving food trucks in Silver Spring and Takoma Park. Police released a surveillance video on Friday showing the robberies.
On Jan. 23, around 2:55 p.m., Elvira’s Kitchen Food Truck was parked in the 14000 block of Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring, when two men vaulted the barrier and climb inside the truck, according to police.
A food truck employee saw one of the men pull an object from his waistband, which appeared to be a weapon. The employee fled the truck, leaving the two men to steal an undisclosed amount of cash, according to police.

Police believe the robbery is linked to four other similar incidents in Takoma Park:
- Vanessa’s Pupuseria in the 8500 block of Piney Branch Road, on Thursday, Feb. 2, at approximately 5:05 p.m.
- Pupuseria Luisa in the 6500 block of New Hampshire Avenue, in Takoma Park on Friday, Jan. 27, at approximately 4 p.m.
- Pupuseria y Taquiera Lupita Food Truck in the 6400 block of New Hampshire Avenue, in Takoma Park on Friday, Jan. 20, at approximately 3 p.m.
- Pupuseria Luisa in the 6500 block of New Hampshire Avenue, in Takoma Park on Jan. 13, at approximately 2 p.m.
The suspects were described as two men, who were about 18-25 years in age with thin builds.

Anyone who can identify the men in the video or who has information about these robberies is asked to contact Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).
Tipsters may be eligible for a reward of up to $10,000 if they provide information that leads to the arrest of these suspects. Information may be submitted anonymously.
