2 Victims Identified In 2 Fatal Montgomery County Collisions: Police
Montgomery County Police released the identities of the two drivers killed in two separate fatal collisions that occurred on Monday morning.
SILVER SPRING, MD — Police have identified the two victims involved in two separate, two-vehicle, fatal collisions that occurred Monday morning in Montgomery County, according to a police release.
Around 7:17 a.m., 41-year-old Edwin Enrique Mejia Dubon of Riverdale was fatally injuredwhen the gray 2009 Mazda 5 minivan he was driving eastbound in the 1600 block of East Randolph Road crossed the centerline and struck a white 2015 Toyota Highlander, according to Montgomery County Police. Mejia Dubon was taken to the hospital for treatment but was pronounced dead.
The driver of the Highlander was also taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries, according to police.

In the second fatal collision, Ambar Aida Rivera Membreno, 29, of Silver Spring was pronounced dead on the scene in the area of Randolph Road and Hammonton Place, according to police.
A preliminary investigation revealed that Rivera Membreno was driving a gray 2006 Honda CR-V eastbound on Randolph Road around 9:12 a.m., when a white 2007 Chevrolet Silverado heading west on Randolph Road crossed the centerline for some unknown reason and struck the Honda CR-V.
