3 Stabbed At McDonald's In Silver Spring; Suspect In Custody: Police

Police arrested a suspect in connection with the stabbing of three people at a Silver Spring McDonald's on Tuesday morning.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery County Police arrested 34-year-old Theodore Andrew Brandy, of no fixed address, in connection with the stabbing Tuesday morning of three people at a Silver Spring McDonald's, according to a release.

Officers responded to a report of a stabbing inside the McDonald's at 8407 Colesville Road in Silver Spring, according to the report. Two men who had been stabbed were taken to a nearby hospital by Montgomery County Fire & Rescue to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

A third victim had left the scene, but he later returned to the restaurant and was also taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

After identifying Brandy as a suspect in the attacks, officers searched downtown Silver Spring. Through their investigation, they received a tip that Brandy was at City Place Mall, according to police.

Around 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday, officers located Brandy at the mall and took him into custody without incident. They requested a warrant for Brandy, seeking charges of three counts of first-degree assault, three counts of attempted murder, and possession of a weapon.
