3rd Homicide Suspect Arrested In PA; 4th Suspect Remains At Large

Police in Pennsylvania arrested 21-year-old D'Andre Lukes, who is wanted in connection with a March 5 fatal shooting in Silver Spring.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery County Police arrested a third suspect in connection with the March 5 fatal shooting of Deandre Keith Ellis.

Butler Township Police took 21-year-old D'Andre Lukes into custody in Drums, Pennsylvania. Ellis is waiting to be extradited to Montgomery County, Maryland.

On Tuesday, MCPD released mugshots of Lukes and 24-year-old D'Angelo Holley. Detectives had obtained arrest warrants for Lukes and Holley, charging them with first-degree murder. Holley remains at large.

Around 10:17 p.m., on March 5, officers responded for a welfare check in the 900 block of Bonifant Street. Police found Ellis deceased inside his car.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy and determined that Ellis had died from a gunshot wound and ruled the manner of death as a homicide.

Police arrested two suspects in connection with the case on March 14. Kajohn McCombs and Ahmahd McCombs, both 22, were charged with first-degree murder. They remain in custody without bond.

D’Andre Lukes, 12, was arrested by Butler Township Police in Drums, Pennsylvania. He remains in police custody, waiting to be extradited to Mongtomery County, Maryland. Once there, he will be charged on an arrest warrant for first degree murder. (MCDP)
