4 Homeless People Assaulted In MOCO, Police Seek 6 Suspects
Police on Tuesday released surveillance video of six suspects wanted in connection with the July 16 assault in Silver Spring.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery County authorities are searching for several suspects who allegedly assaulted a group of homeless people in Silver Spring earlier this month.
Police on Tuesday released surveillance video of six suspects wanted in connection with the July 16 assault. According to police, the incident happened shortly before 4:45 a.m. near Ellsworth Drive and Fenton Street.
Police said five Black male suspects and one Black female suspect got out of a dark-colored Honda Civic and approached the victims while they were sleeping.

According to police, a female victim was asleep at a table when she was punched in the face. When she grabbed her phone to call the police, one of the suspects grabbed the phone and broke it, authorities said.
Two male victims were asleep on a bench when the suspects approached them and assaulted them, police said. A third male victim was chased by the suspects toward Georgia Ave. and was able to escape, according to authorities.

Two victims were taken to the hospital for treatment, police said.
Police released the following descriptions of the suspects:
- Suspect one is a Black male wearing a black ski mask, gray shirt, jeans, and white and grey sneakers.
- Suspect two is a Black male with short dreadlocks wearing a grey shirt with white writing, black pants and black shoes.
- Suspect three is a Black male wearing a black hat, white t-shirt, black pants, light-colored shoes and a black crossbody bag.
- Suspect four is a Black male wearing a black tank top, black pants and black and yellow sneakers.
- Suspect five is a Black male wearing all black clothing.
- Suspect six is a Black female wearing a black short-sleeve t-shirt, black pants and white shoes.
