American Botanicals: Native Plants of the Mid Atlantic talk

Join us for a presentation about their recent project and book and learn about how these contemporary plant portraits were created.

The Silver Spring Garden Club invites you to:

American Botanicals: Native Plants of the Mid Atlantic

A talk by Pamela R. Mason based on the new book of native botanical illustrations. Pamela has has exhibited in juried group shows at The Athenaeum, River Farm, Brookside Gardens and the U.S. Botanic Garden.

Join us for a presentation about their recent project and book and learn about how these contemporary plant portraits were created, how to use and conserve these native plants in your garden, as well as how Native Americans depended on native plants for medicinal purposes.

Members of the Botanical Artists for Education & the Environment are committed to fostering the use and conservation of native plants, while pursuing excellence in botanical art.

The book will be available for sale after the talk. The book, with MD tax added, costs $42.35 (cash or checks only). All income from the book’s sales goes to grant awards to organizations promoting the education about and use of native plants.
