Attempted Hit And Run, Robbery In Silver Spring Under Investigation

SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery County Police detectives are investigating an attempted robbery and hit and run that occurred Friday morning in Silver Spring.

Officers responded around 11:45 a.m. to the 11000 block of Conti Place for the report of an assault. A group of people were at the location, when suspects exited a gray Hyundai Elantra, approached a juvenile male victim, whom they assaulted and attempted to rob, according to police. One of the suspects reportedly was armed with a handgun.

Returning to their Hyundai, the suspects intention hit the victim with the car, before driving off, according to police. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
