Bank Customer Watches Suspect Steal His Car In Silver Spring
Police need the public's help finding a suspect who stole a car in downtown Silver Spring on Dec. 6.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Police have released a surveillance photograph of a suspect they say stole a car in downtown Silver Spring last month.
Montgomery County Police said the incident occurred on Thursday, Dec. 6. That day, a man left his 2009 silver Ford Escape unlocked and with the engine running in the 8700 block of Flower Ave. The victim told police that he was running an errand at a nearby bank.
While at the bank, the victim saw the suspect enter his car and drive off, authorities said.

Police ask that anyone with information about the suspect or the stolen car (Maryland license plate 1CC3812) call the Centralized Auto Theft Section at 240-773-6370. Those who wish to remain anonymous can call the county's Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). A cash reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest in this case.
