Credit Cards Taken From MD Home In October Used In Fairfax City

Credit cards taken from a Silver Spring residence in October were used at Fairfax City businesses, according to police.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Credit cards stolen from a Silver Spring residence in October were used at several locations in Fairfax City, Virginia, according to a Montgomery County Department of Police release.

Officers responded around 2:15 p.m., on Oct. 14, for the report of an earlier theft at a residence in the 13000 block of New Hampshire Avenue in Silver Spring.

A preliminary investigation revealed that sometime between Oct. 11 and Oct. 13, unknown suspects entered the residence and took the victim's wallet and personal property, according to police.

On Thursday, police released surveillance photos showing the suspects using credit cards from the Silver Spring theft at several Fairfax City locations.

Anyone who recognizes the two people in the photos or knows anything about this case is asked to call the 4th District Patrol Investigations Unit at 240-773-5476. Anonymous tips can also be made by calling Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).
