Death Of 66-Year-Old Man In Wheelchair Leads To Arrest Of Relative
Montgomery County Police arrest a Silver Spring man in connection with the death of a 66-year-old relative with disabilities.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery County Police arrested 55-year-old Charles Parker on Wednesday in connection with the death of a 66-year-old relative with disabilities.
Officers responded around 7:07 p.m., on Dec. 1, to a residence in the 1500 block of Heather Hollow Circle in Silver Spring. They found Leon Perkins in his wheelchair. Perkins was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators determined that Perkins had serious medical issues and his body showed signs of trauma. They also leaned that Parker, who was a relative, had phoned Perkins' wife to say that the victim had fallen.

When the victim's wife arrived at the apartment, she discovered that Perkins had died, according to police. His body was then taken to the Office of the Chief Medical, where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause and manner of death.
Investigators identified Parker as a suspect in the case. After arresting Parker in connection with Perkins' death, they took him to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit. He remains in custody without bond.
