Search Underway For Man Accused In Silver Spring Stabbing

SILVER SPRING, MD — A search is underway in Montgomery County for a man police say repeatedly stabbed another person while inside a restaurant's restroom.

Montgomery County Police said the incident took place Friday at The Angry Jerk on the 8200 block of Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring.

Investigators determined the wanted man entered the restroom shortly after 10:30 p.m., stabbed the individual multiple times and then left the scene.

He has been described as being approximately 30 years old, 175 pounds and 6 feet tall. Video surveillance images shared by the department show the man wearing a black shirt, blue jeans, tan shoes and a hat.

Police did not provide a possible motive in the case or state whether either person had known the other before the incident. The wanted man is presently facing an attempted first-degree murder charge.
