Montgomery County Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 40-year-old Silver Spring man on Wednesday night.

SILVER SPING, MD — Montgomery County Police are investigating the fatal shooting of Silver Spring man on Wednesday night.
Montgomery County Fre & Rescue personnel responded around 9:51 p.m. to the scene of a shooting in the 1500 block of Lockwood Drive in Silver Spring.
MCDP officers had found a man inside an apartment suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. They administered aid to the victim until emergency medical personnel arrived.

The victim, whom police identified as 40-year-old Cedric Allen Warner, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
Warner's body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore in order to determine the cause and manner of his death.

No suspect is currently in custody and detectives believe that the shooting was an isolated incident, according to police.
