Fatal Shooting Victim Identified As Silver Spring Mechanic: Police
A Silver Spring mechanic was fatally wounded Saturday morning during a shooting at a Takoma Park auto parts store, according to police.

TAKOMA PARK, MD — Takoma Park police identified 27-year-old Nurhusen Muhammed Hamid of Silver Spring as the victim in Saturday's fatal shooting at a local auto parts store, according to a police release.
Police responded around 11:07 a.m., on Saturday, for the report of a shooting at the Advance Auto Parts in the 6300 block of New Hampshire Avenue. Officers found Hamid in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries, but later died, according to police.
Hamid was a mobile mechanic, who worked throughout the area, including Takoma Park, Hyattsville, and Northwest D.C., according to police.
