Found In Stolen Vehicle, Silver Spring Woman Faces Auto Theft Charges

SILVER SPRING, MD — A 29-year-old woman from Silver Spring faces auto theft charges after investigators found her sitting inside a vehicle that was reported stolen from Washington, D.C.

Auto Crime Enforcement Section detectives from Montgomery County Police were proactively patrolling a Silver Spring neighborhood around 4:30 p.m., on Thursday, when they located the stolen vehicle with Victoria Sok of Silver Spring inside.

Further investigation revealed that Sok was wanted on an out-of-state warrant, according to police.

The detectives took Sok to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unite, where they charged her on auto theft related charges. Sok remains in custody without bond, according to police.
