Gaithersburg Man Wanted For Burglaries At 3 Area Grocery Stores

Montgomery County Police are looking for a Gaithersburg man they say took a large number of items from three area grocery stories.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery County Police are asking the public's help in locating 55-year-old Jonah Ammiel Carter of Gaithersburg, who is wanted in connection with a recent series of burglaries and larceny in Burtonsville, Silver Spring, and Kensington, according to a release.

Police say that Carter stole a large number of items from three area grocery stores:

  • Nov. 16, 2022 - Safeway, 10541 Connecticut Ave., Kensington
  • Jan. 16 - Giant Food, 15618 Old Columbia Pike, Burtonsville
  • Feb. 6 - Giant Food, 1200 block of East West Highway

Anyone with information about this case or Carter's location is asked to call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Anyone who provides information that leads to an arrest of a suspect in this case is eligible for a reward of up to $10,000. Callers may remain anonymous.
