Human Trafficking, Prostitution Charges Levied Against MD Rapper
A Silver Spring rapper was extradited from Maryland to Florida, where the Miami-Dade prosecutor says he meant to exploit his girlfriend.
SILVER SPRING, MD — Silver Spring rapper Monriko Maquel Clements, 31, is facing charges of prostitution and human trafficking, for drugging, exploiting, and branding his 23-year-old girlfriend, according to news reports.
The investigation started on Nov. 14, when a woman jumped out of a moving car and onto a Miami expressway, according to a WUSA9 report.
An investigation revealed that Clements, who is also known as the rapper "King Swuice," met the woman online in April and took her to Florida with the intention of exploiting her, according to WUSA9

In a press conference on Thursday, Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle said that Clements was extradited from Maryland and Florida, where he was charged with first-degree felony human trafficking and second-degree felony deriving support from proceeds of prostitution, according to WUSA9.
