SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery County Police are asking the public's help in locating 17-year-old Jamillah Haynes from Glenmont, who has been missing since Wednesday afternoon, according to a police release. Haynes' family and police are concerned for her welfare.

Haynes was last seen around 4 p.m., in the 12600 block of Georgia Avenue in the Silver Spring area.

Police described Haynes as standing 4-foot-9 and weight 120, with brown eyes. Her black hair has red highlights. She was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans, according to police.

Anyone with information about Haynes' whereabouts is asked to call the 24-hour, police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000 or the Special Victims Investigations Division at 240-773-5400. Callers may remain anonymous.
