SILVER SPRING, MD — In a Friday morning update, Montgomery County officials say Asucenia Martinez-Benitez has been located and is safe.


SILVER SPRING, MD — The Montgomery County Police Department is asking for the public's help finding a missing Aspen Hill teenager.

Asucenia Martinez-Benitez, 13, of Arctic Avenue, was reported missing by her family on Nov. 22. Authorities say she has contacted her family since then, but hasn't disclosed her whereabouts.

Investigators describe Martinez-Benitez as a 5-foot, 100-pound Hispanic female with long black hair and brown eyes.

Police and family are concerned for her wellbeing.
