Missing Silver Spring Girl, 16, Traveled By Train To Chicago: Police

SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery County Police are asking the public's help in locating 16-year-old Rebeca Aragon-Soto of Silver Spring, whom police say took an Amtrak train to Philadelphia and then to Chicago, according to a release.

Aragon-Soto was last seen around 7:45 a.m., on Tuesday in the 1700 block of Hampshire Green Lane.

Police described Aragon-Soto as standing 5-foot-1 and weighing 180 pounds, with light brown eyes and brown hair. She was last seen wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans and white Crocs, and was carrying a brown Adidas backpack, according to a release.

A preliminary investigation by detectives from the Special Victims Investigations Division determined that Aragon-Soto had traveled by train to Chicago.

Police ask anyone with information about Aragon-Soto's location to call the police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000 (24-hour line) or the SVID at 240-773-5400.
