Multiple Vehicles Struck By Gunfire In Silver Spring: Police

Authorities are investigating a shots-fired incident that occurred on April 19 in a Silver Spring neighborhood.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery County Police are investigating a shots-fired incident that occurred on April 19 in a Silver Spring neighborhood. While there were no injuries reported, authorities say several parked cars were struck by the gunfire.

Shortly before midnight, officers responded to the 12300 block of Featherwood Dr. for the report of the sounds of multiple gunshots. Police say they found shell casings and several vehicles struck by the gunfire.

Detectives are urging anyone with information about this incident to call them at 240-773-6870. Anonymous tipsters can call the county's Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to an arrest in this crime.
