Only Human: Finding Unity Through Diversity
Unique Performance Series Explores Diversity and Human Connection through Art

Our planet is filled with diversity: race, age, social status, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs and political affiliation. But what is left when all of that is stripped away? The Highwood Theatre’s second annual Open Source Theatre Project, Only Human: Finding Unity Through Diversity, seeks to answer that question through the use of art, a medium that transcends human differences. Three evenings of performances will feature local, professional artists varying from dance and music, to improvisation, visual art and film. Audience members will be invited to engage and respond over the course of the evening with their personal artistic expression. This unique performance series will explore our connections to one another and reveal that despite all our differences, we’re still only human.
Performers include: The Improv Imps, Door #3 musical improv troupe, visual artist Brian Coyne, vocalist Dylan Kaufman, The Oscillators jazz band, a short film by Kylie Murphey, stand-up comedian Donnie Sengstack, Urban Artistry dance troupe, and Jazzeret - the Bill Evans Program.
Tickets: $20 general admission, $16 for groups of 8 or more
