Photos Of Man Wanted In Silver Spring Assault Released: Police

SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery County Police detectives released a photo Tuesday of a man wanted in connection with a robbery that occurred on Aug. 14, in Silver Spring, according to a release.

Officers responded around 9:40 a.m., to the 1100 block of East-West Highway for the report of an assault.

The victim told police that he was walking southbound on Georgia Avenue, between Sligo Avenue and Blair Road, when someone struck him from behind. After the suspect hit the victim in the head multiple times with a blunt instrument, he took the victim's phone and walked away, according to police. The victim was taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
