Sandy Spring Museum Fire Causes $50K In Damage, Officials Say
A fire that broke out at Sandy Spring Museum Monday night caused about $50K of damage, according to Montgomery County fire officials.

SILVER SPRING, MD — A blaze that broke out at Sandy Spring Museum Monday night caused approximately $50,000 in structural damage, according to Montgomery County fire officials.
At about 7 p.m., firefighters were called to 17901 Bentley Rd. and found fire in the attic, according to fire department spokesman Pete Piringer. No injuries were reported and no artifacts were damaged in the fire.
Piringer said an electrical issue involving one of the ceiling fans most likely started the fire.
