Silver Saddles starts in September

A new riding program for riders over age 50 will start this month at Wheaton Riding Stables, 1101 Glenallen, near Brookside Gardens.

Riders will learn the basics of riding in an indoor ring before heading out for peaceful trail rides in the autumn woods. Lessons are geared towards older adults with little or no riding experience or who are coming back to riding after time away.

The three-week session begins Tuesday, Sept. 16, from 1:30-2:30 p.m.. Cost is $120.
