SILVER SPRING, MD — A Silver Spring couple plan to use their lottery winnings toward the purchase of a house, according to a Maryland Lottery release.

The couple claimed the $100,000 prize they won on a $30 $100,000 Extreme Cash scratch-off game ticket on Nov. 21, at Maryland Lottery headquarters in Baltimore.

As regular lottery players, the couples said their focus has always been on winning a big prize. While they've won smaller prizes, including a few worth $800 in Pick 5, they hadn't hit it big until they bought their winning $100,000 Extreme Cash ticket at a gas station in Silver Spring.
