Silver Spring Double Shooting Injures 2 (UPDATES)
UPDATED: Two people were hospitalized after they were shot in an attempted murder near a Silver Spring apartment complex early Tuesday.
(Updated 10:23 a.m. Wednesday) SILVER SPRING, MD — A man and a woman were hospitalized in an attempted murder near a Silver Spring apartment complex early Tuesday morning, police said. (Subscribe to Silver Spring Patch to stay up to date with all local news.)
At about 1:10 a.m., officers responded to the parking lot of 11560 Lockwood Dr. for the report of the sounds of gunshots. First responders located two victims suffering from gunshot wounds — a 31-year-old male was suffering from a gunshot wound to his left shoulder and a 28-year-old female was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, police said.
Officers began life-saving efforts and administered aid that included the use of a tourniquet, police said. Both victims were transported to the hospital where they were stabilized and their injuries are now described as non-life threatening.

Police are searching for two men involved in the double shooting, WJLA reports. Police describe one suspect as a male with a dark complexion who's race is unknown. He was last seen wearing a white shirt and dark jeans. The second suspect is described as black with medium-length dreadlocks who was last seen wearing a black shirt with blue jeans.

Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to the arrest and/or indictment of this suspect.
