Silver Spring Killing Investigated, Gunshots Heard Saturday Night

SILVER SPRING, MD — A man was shot and killed on a sidewalk on Piney Branch Road in Silver Spring on Saturday night, Montgomery County Police said.

Around 11:30 p.m., the officers responded to a call and found a man on the sidewalk in the 9300 block of Piney Branch Road with what police suspected was a gunshot wound. He later died, police said. No other details have been released, and it is an ongoing investigation.
