Silver Spring Man, 78, Missing Since Monday Sought By MoCo Police

SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery County Police are asking the public's help in locating 79-year-old Wasantha Tennakoom, who has been missing since Monday afternoon, according to a police release.

Tennakoom was last seen around 4 p.m., in the 15300 block of Pine Orchard Drive in Silver Spring. Tennakoom's family and the police are concerned for his welfare, according to the release.

Police described Tennakoom as a white male with brown eyes, white hair and a gray goatee. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a white shirt and brown pants.
