Silver Spring Man Charged With Raping Girl He Met On App
A Silver Spring man suspected of raping a girl he met through a social media app is in police custody.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Authorities have arrested a Silver Spring man they say sexually assaulted a girl he met through a social media app.
Christopher Joseph Clark, 38, was charged with second-degree rape and second-degree assault, court records reveal. The attack, Montgomery County police say, took place on Nov. 21 and involved a girl from Virginia.
The victim, whose identity and age has not been released, told police that she met Clark on a social media app and arranged to meet him at her home at about 6:30 p.m. Clark reportedly picked her up from Virginia, drove her back to his residence in Silver Spring, and then sexually assaulted her.

After the assault, police said she contacted her family in Virginia, who then called the authorities.
Detectives arrested Clark at his home on Nov. 22. The Silver Spring resident is currently being held without bond.
