On Jan. 15, around 7:05 p.m., a male victim was inside his home in the 8300 block of McCullough Lane when he received a notification on his cell phone that his security cameras had sensed motion on his patio. Police said the victim confronted Adams, who then pulled out a knife and swung it towards the victim before leaving the scene.

Following the Jan. 15 incident, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Adams, charging him with multiple counts.

According to police, Adams was spotted on Tuesday walking to the rear of an apartment complex in the 8000 block of Gramercy Boulevard in Derwood. A police drone later captured Adams looking into several ground-level apartment windows and doors and exposing himself, police said.

When officers approached Adams to arrest him again, police said he ran away. After a short chase on foot, he was taken into custody.

Adams was transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he is being held without bond.
