Silver Spring Man Fatally Shot; DC Police Seeking Public's Help
D.C. homicide detectives are asking the public's help in identifying a suspect in the fatally shooting of a 21-year-old Silver Spring man.

WASHINGTON, DC — Homicide detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department are asking the public's help in identifying and locating a suspect in connection with the fatal shooting of a Silver Spring man on Thursday, according to a police release.
Officers responded around 8:16 p.m., to the 800 block of 7th Street, Northwest for the report of a shooting. Police found 21-year-old Juwaan Henry of Silver Spring suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, according to the release.
D.C. Fire and EMS transported Henry to a nearby hospital for treatment, but all lifesaving efforts failed and he was pronounced dead, according to police.

MPD released surveillance photos of the suspect in the case. Police ask anyone who recognizes the man in the photos to call at 202-727-9099. Anonymous information may also be submitted by text to 50411.
MPD is currently offering a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information leading to the arrest and conviction of any person responsible for a homicide in the District.
