Silver Spring Mom Wins $50K Lottery Ticket
A Silver Spring woman has won $50,000 playing the Lucky Numbers scratch-off game from the Maryland Lottery.
SILVER SPRING, MD — A mother of four from Silver Spring is $50,000 richer thanks to a recent lottery ticket win.
The lucky player, who calls herself "Sandy Land," snagged one of Lucky Numbers' top prizes at Rodman's on Randolph Road. Now she wants to use some of the money to help others.
"Life is a circle," the 49-year-old woman told Maryland lottery officials. "It comes back to you."

The Silver Spring resident tells lottery officials that she already has plans to return to her native country of El Salvador to help move her uncle and his family to Maryland.
"I know how it feels to have others help me, now I want to be the one to help others," she said.
