Silver Spring Murder: Police Say 1 Dead Following Dispute

One person was killed following a dispute in a Silver Spring shopping center parking lot, police say.

SILVER SPRING, MD — One person is dead following a dispute in a Silver Spring parking lot Wednesday night, according to authorities.

Montgomery County Police say they found Edras Armando Munoz, 30, of an unconfirmed address, "suffering from apparent trauma to his body." Munoz was taken to a local hospital where he died.

Officials say the incident happened at 8528 Piney Branch Rd. Responding officers arrived on the scene around 11 p.m. and located a critically injured Munoz in the parking lot of the shopping center.

Circumstances surrounding the reported dispute aren't immediately clear.

Anyone with information about this homicide is urged to call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5070. The county's Crime Solvers is offering a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to the arrest or indictment of this suspect. To be eligible for a reward, tipsters can call 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Callers may remain anonymous.
