SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery County Police detectives are looking for a suspect in connection with the Aug. 7 shooting at an apartment building in Silver Spring.

Officers responded around 10:09 p.m. to the 14000 block of Castle Blvd. for the report of a shooting.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a man who was outside an apartment building was shot twice in the torso. The man was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for serious injuries, according to police. Three apartments were also struck by gunfire.

Anyone with information about this incident or the identity of a suspect is asked to call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Anyone who provides information that leads to an arrest in this case is eligible for a reward of up to $10,000. Callers may remain anonymous.
