Suspicious Death In Silver Spring Now Investigated As Hit-And Run
Montgomery County Police are investigating the death of a 30-year-old Silver Spring man as a fatal hit-and-run involving a pedestrian.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery County Police are investigating the death of 30-year-old Elmer Camacho-Aguilar of Silver Spring as a fatal hit-and-run, according a report released on Tuesday.
Police and members of the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services responded around 12:40 a.m., on Saturday, for the report of a possible assault in the 800 block of University Boulevard E. in Silver Spring.
Upon arrival, police located Camacho-Aguilar suffering from trauma to his upper body. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, but he was pronounced dead.

Through their investigation and after consultation with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Washington, D.C., detectives determined that Camacho-Aguilar was the victim of a hit-and-run collision between a vehicle and pedestrian.
The driver of the vehicle did not stay on the scene following the collision, according to police.
