Video: Sledgehammer Used To Break Into Silver Spring Watch Store
A surveillance video shows three men breaking into glass display cases to steal jewelry and watches from a Silver Spring business.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery County Police released a surveillance video that shows three people breaking glass display cases at a Silver Spring business and stealing an undisclosed amount of jewelry and watches, according to a police release.
Officers responded around 4:30 a.m., on July 17, for the report of a burglary at the Watch Pocket store in the 10100 block of Colesville Road.
An investigation revealed that three unknown suspects used a sledgehammer around 3:40 a.m., to gain entry by breaking the front door of the store. They then used the sledgehammer to smash the glass display cases, so they could steal the jewelry and watches, according to police.

Police described the suspects as three men ranging in age from 18 to 35. They all wore face masks and two were wearing gloves, according to police. Two of the suspects wore gray and black clothing, while the third wore a green, long-sleeved shirt, black pants, and brown Timberland-style boots.
