Join Montgomery County Recreation for a presentation on the compelling African American history in Silver Spring. This free presentation goes into detail about Silver Spring's historic landscape as it transitioned from Jim Crow segregation into the multicultural community it has become.
ACT-So Poetry Read-In & Silent Auction
2:45-6 p.m. Saturday at Randolph Road Theatre, 4010 Randolph Rd.
Join ACT-SO (Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological, Scientific Olympics) for a family-friendly afternoon of poetry to celebrate Black History Month. The event will feature original poems by Montgomery County students, poems by black poets read and recited by community members and an ACT-SO Silent Auction.
