New African Film Festival: Join the 13th annual New African Film Festival to see 20 films from 14 different countries, all showcasing the vibrancy of African filmmaking from all over the continent. The festival is at the AFI Silver Theatre & Cultural Center at 8633 Colesville Rd. and goes until March 19. The movies start at 5:45 p.m. and the last one is at 7 p.m.

Intermediate Adobe Premiere Editing Workshop: Want to learn Adobe? Head over to Docs In Progress from 10 a.m. to 4 pm. at 801 Wayne Ave. to learn all about the software. Experts will cover four different sections of material: color correction, audio post-production, multi-camera editing, and, if time permits, special effects for documentary.

The film is about four teen girls in New York in 1914 who discover their sexuality and personal power as they reveal the horrifying events that led each to the same tiny dormitory room.
