2 Suspects Wanted In Armed Robbery: Takoma Park Police

TAKOMA PARK, MD — Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred on Takoma Avenue Saturday night.

At about 12:45 a.m., two victims were standing in the 7700 block of Takoma Ave. when they were approached by two males. One suspect displayed a handgun and stole a wallet and its contents from one of the victims, police said. The suspects then ran from the area.

Police K-9 tracked to the area of the 7300 block of Piney Branch Rd., where the track was lost, police said.

Police describe the first suspect as a black male, 5'07" with a goatee. He was wearing a blue jacket, black shirt, gray shorts, black shoes and a do-rag. The second suspect was a black male, 5'07" wearing a white shirt and blue jeans, police said.
