A Silent Vigil for Boston and the Nation

May we continue to free our minds and hearts from fear and anger and find the peace, love and resilience that are so necessary at this time.

On Tuesday, April 16th, the Brahma Kumaris Meditation Museum held a Silent Vigil for the victims and survivors of the Boston Bombing at the Marathon finishing line. At a time of celebration, people scrambled for limbs, life, and meaning.

The Silent Vigil, held at the Georgia Avenue branch in Silver Spring, Maryland, guided participants with the ringing of a Buddhist gong as each person was presented with a lit candle, led by Sister Jenna, Sister Gita, Helen and Antonia into moments of silence and forgiveness - allowing there to be understanding and the strength to forge on.

The evening at the Museum was attended by people from all walks of life who "showed up" to say, “I care.” There will be meditations at various centers throughout the U.S.

May we continue to free our minds and hearts from fear and anger and find the peace, love and resilience that are so necessary at this time.
