CALL FOR CRAFTS APPLICANTS

The 2014 Takoma Park Folk Festival offers a unique Crafts Show for local crafters and artisans to share and sell their work amongst folk music and hometown ambiance. Applications are open now through June 30 at tpff.org, and space is limited.

This friendly, family-oriented event is scheduled to take place 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Sunday, September 7, 2014 at Takoma Park Middle School. The festival draws more than 4,000 people from the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia areas in celebration of the rich artistic talent of the region.

The diversity of Takoma Park and the DC region attracts a broad, community-minded audience to the festival each year. Our Crafts Show reflects this diversity, as we welcome a wide range of media for our Crafts Show: fiber, photography, clay, metal, wood, paper, artisan food, and more.

A jury of crafters will review all applications, and notifications will be made in mid-July. Applications must include descriptions and images of crafts to be sold, as well as the application fee.

Prospective applicants should reference the online information sheet prior to filling out the application at tpff.org. Juried crafters and artisans will be provided a ten-by-ten-foot booth space, and may be offered the opportunity to host a workshop or craft demo during the festival.

For more information about participating in the Takoma Park Folk Festival Craft Show please visit the crafts page at tpff.org, or contact Gina Gaspin at crafts@tpff.org.
