County Executive Candidates Forum Set for Oct. 13

The League of Women Voters will prepare questions for Ike Leggett and Jim Shalleck. Seating can be reserve.

Montgomery Community Media and the League of Women Voters are scheduled to host a candidates forum for the county executive race at 6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 13.

The race features incumbent County Executive Ike Leggett, a Democrat, against attorney Jim Shalleck, a Republican.

According to Executive Producer Tony Zucconi, the candidates forum will be one hour, with one-minute opening statements and closing statements of two minutes. He said the League of Women Voters is preparing the questions.

The forum will be moderated by Don Mooers, the host of Montgomery Week in Review.

There is limited seating for this event. Those who plan to attend are asked to reserve a free ticket here.

Zucconi said the forum will be streamed live on the MyMCMedia.org website and then broadcast on Access 19 and Montgomery Channel 21 later in the week.

The general election is set for Nov. 4.
