Forum Set on Honoring Religious Diversity in Montgomery County
Interfaith event will update residents on efforts to deepen understanding and improve collaboration between the district and faith leaders.

A forum on honoring religious diversity in Montgomery County will be held on Wednesday, June 10, at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Rockville, 100 Welsh Park Drive. The free event will run from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. and is open to everyon.
Montgomery County Public Schools is partnering with the Montgomery County Executive’s Faith Community Working Group to host this interfaith forum in an effort to deepen the understanding and appreciation for the diverse faith traditions in the county, according to a news release. Speakers will talk about efforts under way to enhance collaboration between the district and the faith community.
Attendees will also have an opportunity to provide input on how MCPS and the faith community can work together to ensure student success.

Among those expected to speak at the event are: Patricia O’Neill, President, Montgomery County Board of Education; Larry A. Bowers, Interim Superintendent of Schools; the Rev. Mansfield “Kasey” Kaseman, Interfaith Community Liaison; and members of the Montgomery County Executive’s Faith Community Working Group.
