Summer At Sandy Spring is a great Summer Day camp offering equal parts fun and uniqueness. For over thirty years, we have provided families with a safe, engaging, and active summer camp experience for children three years old to fourteen. With the sprawling Sandy Spring Friends School campus, we offer summer experiences for your children that will provide lifelong memories and friendships. Your children will have opportunities to explore Adventure Park, swim in our man-made pond, partake in our weekly theme weeks, enjoy daily hot lunches, and so much more! The popular Franciscan Monastery Herb and Plant Sale is back April 25 (9 a.m.-6 p.m.) and April 26 (8 a.m.-3 p.m.) at the Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land, 1400 Quincy St. NE, Washington, DC 20017. Come early to get your organic herbs, annuals, perennials, fruit trees, vegetables and Monastery-grown plants, while enjoying food and craft vendors. Free garden tours at 11 a.m. and noon. SBMVJB features a cast of accomplished all-stars performing the early jazz made famous by such greats as King Oliver, Fats Waller and Louis Armstrong. When Ben plays you might hear a strong hint of Louis. So grab a partner and shake your booty!

IMPORTANT NOTE: We're singing and swinging on the *3rd Monday* this month, due to Memorial Day.
Whether you’re brushing up songs for your next gig, a complete newbie to the open mic scene, or a listener who loves vocal jazz, all are welcome as we pay homage to the exquisite craft of singing this classic American artform. 
The welcoming atmosphere at El Golfo has great vibes, delicious Latin/Mexican cuisine, and plenty of parking.
Pianist Jon Ozment returns as our accompanist this month. (Singers, bring charts in your key, if possible.)
No cover charge, but we suggest a donation of $10. All tips beyond the musician's fee support a health fund for El Golfo's beloved owner, Ada Villatoro.
