Happy Pi Day Takoma Park! Make It A 'Pie Day' With Yelp's Help
On 3/14, here are some of Takoma Park's best places to grab a slice in celebration of everybody's favorite, really long number.

TAKOMA PARK, MD — Happy Pi Day, everyone. March 14 is the yearly celebration of everybody's favorite mathematical constant — Pi — which begins with the numbers 3.14. Started by some brainiac math-whiz types at the San Francisco Exploratorium in 1988, Pi Day was made official in 2009, when the U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution recognizing the day.
There are plenty of ways to celebrate. But, let's be honest, you can't warm up a number and toss a scoop of ice cream on top of it. Which brings us to pie.
Lots of folks bake their own in celebration of the day. But if you haven't gotten around to it (you were too busy memorizing Pi to the 100th place, we're sure) Takoma Park has no shortage of pie shops happy to satisfy your craving. You'll even find Pi Day specials at some of them.
